Ladies who wish to take on the challenge of a 50K run can participate on the 1st All-Women Ultramarathon scheduled on March 10, 2012 in Metro Cebu.
Limited to 100 participants, the event, organized by Ungo Runners and Cebu Ultramarathoners Club, will be part of the International Women's month celebration.
A cut of time of 10 hours will be imposed after the runners are flagged off at the Active Zone of Ayala Center Cebu and negotiate routes in Mandaue and Lapu-Lapu where the race will end.
To ensure that runners will be at par with the challenge, only those who have finished at least a half marathon event in the last 12 months will be qualified to register.
Entry fee for the event is pegged at P700 for local runners until Feb. 26 while foreigners will have to pay US$20. After Feb. 26, registration will be P900.
Registrants will receive an official race jersey, big and invitation to the official carbo-loading party set on March 8.
Runners are required to bring a whistle and a head lamp. Finishers will receive t-shirts and can enjoy the post-race breakfast buffet.
