Organizers said in a press statement released recently that participants include runners from United States, Canada, Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia.
Because of this development, organizers are optimistic that the Subic International Marathon will soon be among the recognized running event, not only in the Philippines but also in the global running community.
The 2012 SIM offer running enthusiasts a lush green course within the grounds of Remy Field of Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA), Olongapo City.
Organized by premier multi-sports events company, eXtribe, Inc., local and international runners can expect a safe, clean and secure race course in the event that also offers 5, 10, 21 and 42k races.

Three-kilometer and 5-kilometer races are set on January 21, while the 10-, 21- and 42-kilometer races are set on January 22.
By joining the 2012 SIM runners are also able to support the community transformation programs of Christian Officers Reform the Police Service (CORPS) Movement Foundation, Inc. and the DILAAB Movement.
Over P 100,000.00 cash prizes waits the top finishers of the 10K, 21K and 42K race events, plus SIM DogTags for the finishers of the 21K and DogTag and medal for the 42K finishers.
